Waterbox Announces New Models!

Those silver models....I want it!

I dislike staring at distracting overflows, and the silver has a solid back like the Red Sea Max & S-Series. But it doesn't seem to be a coast-to-coast, and you probably lose more than 4 inches if the filter socks are back there. And the tank is only 18" front to back. So it's an interesting shape. Don't quite get the non-AIO models, the AIO models make sense and I suspect will be popular

Those frag tanks will appeal to many.

Then introducing larger sizes and peninsula versions will appeal to more

With US plumbing, more modern sump design, decent ATO solution, glass overflow, and a workable manifold for many reefers.... these tweaks will probably tempt many people away from the RS Reefers

I'm in the processing of getting quotes for a custom 14" tall peninsula. It do wonder what the 48" long frag tank would look like if I removed the backing and used it peninsula style. The back glass probably isn't sapphire, but likely not a killer.

They offer a couple of great options for Coral QT from the AIO Frag and the larger Frag w/Sump.

Their peninsulas are too deep + tall for me, but I'm looking forward to watching other people build those out on R2R

Question on the largest peninsula. I'm correct to assume the large reservoir that comes with it takes up the rest of the space in the cabinetry along with the sump? Just to see if there was still space for doser and other things for like a control panel.

For the Silver models, how many inches does the back sump/overflow portion extend into the display?

Marine 60.3 is 36 x 18 x 18. Is that the external dimension or the "swimming area" dimension?

I contacted live support today. The overflow / false wall / rear compartment divider in the Silvers is made of glass not acrylic. I assumed it was acrylic to save cost, most of the savings would appear to be the MDF vs plywood stand and thinner glass. There is also the simpler sump + less fancy gatevalve.

All sides of our aquariums are starphire glass :)

The New Cube series is already available at https://www.saltwateraquarium.com/aquariums/waterbox/cube-tanks/

Bummer there's no smaller peninsula models... I still feel like this would be a huge market over Red Sea if you got 2ft, 3ft models.

Or can we remove the back black off the glass of any of these new Platinums?

Unfortunately at this time no smaller models
