I want to upgrade the return pump on my Waterbox Cube 10. I wanted to get something in the 150-180 gallons/hr range.
The return chamber is very small, the sicce silent 0.5-1.0 doesn’t fit.

So wondering if anyone with the Waterbox cube10 recommends for an upgrade on their return pump that fits

150-180Gph is a bit overkill for a 10-gallon.

I have one of the original Waterbox cube 10 (hope the space is the same) and I use the Innovative Marine MightyJey AIO -266GPH pump. It just fits but you need to remove all the snail guards.

Took about a week for it to become really silent and no hum either compared to AC pumps. The tank is in my kids room so silent pump was a must.
Good luck, not much fits in that tiny space.

What’s wrong with the current pump? I find them to be perfect.
The pump isn’t really giving enough flow to keep stuff from settling on the sand. And some corals are limp looking so probably not getting enough flow, not really seeing motion on the corals.

So was aiming for about 15Xturnover. I don’t have wave maker. I do have a the VCA double nozzle Radom flow generator.

There’s the issue! You should invest in a small wave maker! Even if you upgrade the pump the flow will be blowing down from the top and you want a nice even flow from the middle so there’s no dead spots and it replicates the ocean’s currents best.

I had a goby jump, so now use a lid and found that with the lid the cable doesn’t really fit.
The MP10 has the cable on the outside but it’s expensive.

With the double nozzles the pump kinda just trickles water back so want a new pump to reach back to normal return flow. So I just want to increase the flow just for keeping the tank clean without going overboard and it’s less me trying to adjust the flow for corals.

Can you get rid of the double nozzle rfg and replace with a single rfg, or even the original nozzle as you'll get a lot more flow and power through that than the double nozzle

Because of no wavemaker I use the double nozzles to get flow to behind rock and in front. Basically let’s me get flow to places that would be dead zones

I know a solution could be just buy a mp10 and done deal. But a return pump upgrade would also be beneficial and really more cost effective.
I have an AIO cube, I want to upgrade return pump and aware of the size limitation so I’m asking to see what others have done as an upgrade for options

Ok no problem. I have the waterbox peninsula 25. I've upgraded the return pump to DC jeboa , and also bought a DC jeboa wave maker that's a direct rip off to the nero3. My mesh lid sits slightly higher on the AIO filter section where the wavemaker cable comes out

I could also cut the mesh lid back a bit smaller again but can't be bothered. I'll dig up a photo and see if you can see the return pump cable comes out

Red sea mesh lid sits slightly higher at AIO end as the cable from wavemaker comes out. It's minute and unnoticeable but I could cut the kid shorter to allow enough room for the cable if I wanted. I've also got the single rfg as the double looses too much flow when spread through 2 nozzles
