Waterbox Frag Series

I am looking for thoughts from someone that may own a Waterbox FRAG series tank. I am seriously considering purchasing a FRAG 100.4. I like the idea of the shallow (meaning 16" deep) tank for maintenance and PAR reasons. Does anyone have any of the tanks in this series and how would you rate the tank, sump, and stand?

My buddy has the 80 gallon version. It’s pretty nice! I personally own a waterbox 130.4 and the quality of both are phenomenal. The sump is nice, the stand is nice, and the tank is nice. I had some custom made pieces for my sump made to help it fit my needs (filter sock splash guard and a divider for skimmer section so I could have a fuge) but other than that it was plug and play. I’ve owned a lot of high end aquariums and am very nit picky but there’s really not that much to complain about with these tanks.

Keep in mind the materials etc on the frag tank are all the same as all the other tanks. The stand and sump should be the same as the 130.

I have the 100.3 and absolutely freaking love this tank! The stand is very IKEA, but honestly it’s solid plywood and the only thing I don’t care for is the leveling feet. But the tank is phenomenal

The feet were a pain. There’s just so many....

I have the older 48"x24"x13". It's a nice tank. And the stand is probably the best I've seen in AIO. Overall, the system works good.
A only thing I don't like about shallow tank is that you can't really keep a sandbed. Maybe the 16" tall is better but on the 13", the sand would get blown around too much if you have enough flow for other corals esp sps.
The fittings are in metrics. It's a pain to plumb with other system and requires you to special order parts or conversion. At least the return line is 3/4".
There are about ten thousands feet to adjust. If your floor is leveled, just put them all at the lowest point. If your floor is not leveled, have fun.

That’s a very nice tank. I’m in a 40 gallon bowfront right now. It’s a young tank - 7 months - but coming along nicely. The size is very limiting on fish (foxface, tangs, etc) and I’d really like more volume.

I think 48”x24” is the perfect footprint on a tank that you don’t want to break your back or your bank.
when I’m sick of all this and just want to have a tank, 48x24x24 is it.
