I am considering adding sand and condensing both tanks into the 230.6, but haven't made my mind up yet.

Not yet, it shipped from Marine Depot yesterday. As soon as I get it installed, I'll certainly post some.

You are going to really enjoy your tank. I have had my 7226 for about 8-9 months now. Extremely happy with it.

Thanks guys. Tank is just starting to grow some coralline algae on the plastic parts of my Vortechs, so excited about that!
I also have what I think is a diatom bloom on my sandbed, that my CuC is slowly nibbling at. I have a few Anthias in QT at the moment, hoping to add some SPS coral by Christmas, but not certain yet.

I replaced the NYOS 220 Skimmer with a Deltec 1500i, that I've been very happy with so far. Other than that, It's been a waiting game of getting parameters stable, and giving the tank some time to mature before it really starts to get stocked with fish and coral.

What made you decide to get rid of the NYOS?

Just replaced my 300 with a Red Sea RSK 900 because I just couldn't handle the constant need for tuning after weeks of running it. Already the RSK 900 is running better than the NYOS ever did.
