Howdy all,

New house = new build. Just cant decide what tank I want.

I'm torn between a Waterbox Peninsula tank (55") or the SCA 60" peninsula drilled for ghost overflow, with a T-slot aluminium stand.

I like the idea of the Waterbox one stop shop for everything (and they sometimes go on sale for 10% off). But I'm thrown by the 55" length, new company, and plywood stand. What scares me most is the plywood stand. Not sure how well it will hold up over time. Since it's a new company and wood does degrade over time.

The SCA has the dimensions I want, eurobracing, ghost overflow, and I can build an aluminum stand (which I assume is stronger than a wood stand). But then I have to order everything and hope they fit together, and it's not that much cheaper than a Waterbox setup.

Help me decide!

Sounds like you know you want to go the SCA route but you're trying to motivate yourself for the added work. Don't settle in a new build. Dream big!

No opinion personally on either route but from your post the only positive thing you like about the waterbox is that it's bundled together... Which isnt really a pro at all in the grand scheme.
