Hello All!!

I am very new to the hobby and just setting up my 53Gal Red Sea Reefer G2!
I am looking at RODI systems and narrowed them down to 3 options.

The BRS 4 stage, the Waterbox 4 stage or the AquaFX Barracuda Glacial 4 stage.

Waterbox is the most attractive price and availability wise, but I don't want to cheap out if its not going to last like the other brands.

Any experiences that fellow reefers could share would be very appreciated!

TIY!

Either of those 3 would be fine. Just like the unit @blaxsun suggested would be fine.

Personally I'd go with a standard unit that accepts any standard 2.5x10" filter cartridges. The unit itself won't make a huge difference, there are quality improvements with some over others. However, at the end of the day they all make the water the same way.

Replacement filters are where you don't want to skip out on quality.

I'm not a fan of the proprietary filters personally

Bought mine at airwaterice.com
Quick good service answers questions quickly and many to choose from from small to whole house lol.

Before purchasing a 4 stage, just ensure that its going to meet the demands of your source water, as mine @blaxsun and yours are all going to be different and may require different treatment options.

One highly recommended upgrade to any unit would be a booster pump.

Agree, any unit that uses the standard 2.5 x 10 filters. I absolutely hate the idea of being stuck with proprietary filters.

You can get The standard 2.5 x 10 filters almost anywhere. And you can even get them in different micron sizes.
