Has anyone found/know about any alternative stands for a WaterBox w/sump aquarium? Everything I've seen online doesn't seem compatible. WB offers their stands in white, black and now an oak finish. I'm cool with any of the above, however, my wife would like the stand to look a little more appealing than what she calls an "office cabinet"...I think she'd like a farmhouse look or maybe just something that would match our white built-in entertainment center. I'd order the WB Marine 70.3 today if i could make her happy with the stand. NEED HELP.

I don't guess i'd have to have a WB, but their system's seem top-notch. If there is another manufacturer that is on-par as far as quality/design, please enlighten me - of course, assuming they offer stands other than the normal black/white "office cabinet" look...

Just fishing here ;)

Thanks in advance for any feedback. I'm so anxious to get something ordered, this cabinet thing is killing me.

Farmhouse look? Not sure what that is?

Are you any good at DIY? Buy something and change it yourself.

I took 2 kitchen cabinets and made the stand for my 90g DT and 16g RFA tank. It's still a work in progress.

Never thought about wrapping the stand, much less modifying it to meet her aesthetic demands.

I found a few custom builders online that create hardwood stand/canopies. Do you know if any of them are more reputable than the other? Who would you get to build a custom cabinet if you had to?

I'm a decent wood-worker, but never built any cabinets. Mainly backyard decks and railings. Maybe I'll consider building my own.

I did reach out to WB to see if they recommend anyone for custom cabinetry, but haven't heard anything as of today.

This wait is killing me. Thinking of just going ahead and ordering a cube 20 to get something going, maybe a headstart on curing some live rock? Guess I could use it as quarantine once main tank is in place. Can cycling/curing live rock be done in a WB Cube 20 setup, or is there more to it?

Thanks,
DW

Planet Aquarium has some interesting options.

That being said, I'm in the process of building my own.
