Waterbox Sump | water not flowing through filter

Anyone else with a waterbox experiencing this this problem ?

The filter sock holder doesn’t seem to be large enough and water flows around it. The only issue is that majority of the water flows around it. I’ve had this filter floss in for a week and it’s clean as a whistle.

I would not use filter sock especially if you have a high turnover. I prefer sponge and bio balls

Maybe try increasing flow to the sump with the gate valve and return pump to help raise the water level in the filter sock compartment
