I'm wondering why some people watermark their pictures and others don't. As I get better at shooting pictures of my tank I'm wondering if I should do it or if it will just come off as arrogant to most reefers. What are your thoughts?

the images i'm extra happy with i put in a public-viewable album on facebook. i don't care if people use them. they're pictures of the things i love, so i leave them wide open. i'd be happy if i came across them somewhere else! :D

I hate water marking my pics. But I hate it more when I find someone using my pictures to sell their own corals. I've had this happen with a few vendors on Facebook.

I put my initials in the corner of my pics. I don't like to take away from the pic but I like people to know it's mine if it's a good one.

I wouldn't mind if someone used it unless they were using it for sales, which I haven't had happen that I know of. I did find one of my pics made it to Denmark as someone's avatar!

Personally, I like knowing who's tank it is or shot the pic. Just as long as it's in the corner and not in the way.

Thanks for the input everyone. I think I'll probably start using a sig on my better pictures. It's easy enough when I'm editing them anyways.
