I have 4 heads if a watermelon chalice on a frag plug, I've had this frag for roughly 4 months or so and I haven't seen any growth whatsoever. This seems to be my only coral that isn't growing. It's in moderate flow and moderate light (LEDs) I dose with calcium, Alk, magnesium, and iodine (sparingly)

Any suggestions for better growth

It's at the bottom, but it doesn't seem to take any food I offer. Either it doesn't latch on and floats away or my inverts grab it.

I guess I could do what I do with my scoly and that guard it until it eats it

If your inverts always grab the food from the chalice, you will have to stand guard.

It you have space, cut a 1 liter soda plastic bottle in half and cover it while it eats.

If no tissue recession is showing perhaps the piece needs to be remounted to grow more quickly or it needs to find a better lighting/flow spot. Just a guess. Any pics?
