any idea what it is????? it's red with green and orange eyes,green rim...

IDK the true name,but it seems to look similar to Bryans Baby's chalices,it seems like there si a few of them,but Im not sure.

Its hard to ID alot of the ones anymore that are purple/green/green and what not cause there are so many Tubbs Alien Eye is the most common and by far most popular.

lol yea clowns is right, it will be hard to tell, unless u know who u got it from, lots of look alike chalice plus the aussie chalices that come in that look so similar....is it a blue base or purple base? could be a grape WM chalice

It looks like the dozens of watermelon "morphs." I can never tell the difference, and can't understand why every new watermelon type chalice that comes in on a shipment has to get a new name. They all look too similar or exactly the same to have different names. This was directed at you man, but there is one retailer in particular that is ridiculous.

Well I got it from a lfs who got it from a new wholesaler... These were some of his cherry pieces so I know they been around... I don't think it's a new chalice since he had a few frags of it... Don't know I thought I have seen a few times I'm just to lazy to search a million threads... Lol

I dont think its "new" but I think its nice.

Like I said it reminds me of some type of Bryans Baby chalice.

I think its nice,and really all we can say it is,is a Watermelon chalice.Generally without linage,all we can say is what it is,with linage we can say "Oh ya thats Tyree Pink Watermelon" or whatever.Either way its a nice coral,and thats what matters at the end of the day!

It looks similar to that but mine is real puffy... No biggie.. It's kind of bleached since the lfs had it real high up in a led light tank... I'll give it a couple months and see where it goes... lol

Ya I don't think that's it... The eyes match it but the body of this one red.. It might change thou under my lighting.. It was cooking and bleached at the lfs under LEDs.... I'll break out my good camera and give it a shot.. I used my phone for those pics....

Lol... I guess I should go snatch the last one lol... He had one left and I almost took it so I had a back up... I notice I don't have problems with lps thou... Sps I always like to have 2 just in case....
Kinda MADD right now I have to chop up the short cake colony... It started receding from the base up so now I got like 4 decent colonies and like 40 frags... Very upset...

That was my baby!!!! I'm gonna have to glue it all back together after it settles in... Such a touchy coral... I knew from the couple frags I had it was very touchy and I lost them, figured the colony would hold stable... nope...

Oh,wow sorry to see that.

I am right now having some problems with my SPS corals,I has 2 of them do that same STN/RTN thing on my,my millipora are fine,my cali tort is recovering,but my Red PLanet and Spongodes montipora,dont look to hot right now,I like the RP the most,oh well,its not likes its rare like a rainbow welsoni.\

Good luck with your SBSC I hope it pulls through,they are a very touchy piece and one that will not do good when moved around a bunch,Good luck =[
