Wave flow pattern dilemma ???

I’m still trying to figure out how this gyre is gonna work in this cylinder. I’m thinking if it shoots from back to front over the top of the rock it will hit the front and create two circular patterns. Might not reach the bottom very well. Second thought is to place on the side 3/4 down and create alternating flow clockwise and counter clockwise? I think this pump can do forward and reverse to do this? I got this pump to mount vertical due to the magnet being better able to follow the curve of the tank. 100 gallon 35” deep

Having it mounted vertically worked pretty well for a friend who had one on a half cylinder.

I think you'll find it pushes pretty well in forward and not so good in reverse due to the cure of the fins in the gyre.
