Hi,

I was just thinking what is the correct way you should have a pump head facing? I've put mine about half way up the glass facing upwards so it breaks the water.. Is that correct?
Could you post some pictures of your setups too please.

Thanks :)

Have you got a pic please, there are a number of variables like tank size and where the return is, what power head / wavemaker is it?
Up is a good start to break the surface a bit.

Hi yes sorry its a 64 litre tank..

Nice pic, how old is the tank? Have you been through brown diatome stage?
Thanks :) Nearly through it. Got 1 emerald crab, 4 turbo snails, 4 hermet crabs, and a few asteria starfish.. All doing a blinding job. Planning on putting 2 clownfish and a red fire shrimp in there on the 30th of this month. Its been 4 weeks since the live sand, live rock and the ready mixed saltwater went in. The cycle finished in the second week and all readings 0 except Nitrate which is 0.5! Got 4 lots of Zoas in there too.

Addition not edit, raise the centre of the scape, imo, at 64 litres that is a lovely set up. ;)
Now you've said about raising the centre I'll probably by some more live rock soon lol. Got me thinking haha.

Hi sorry as originally asked.. Is that the right position for the powerhead?

Thanks

Placement looks good to me if it ends up not seeming like enough or it leaves a spot in the tank with no flow also known as a
" dead spot " I'd maybe point it more towards the front right side corner of the tank so it flows diagonal across the top of the rocks would Probobly make some more surface movement and overall increase flow around the tank :)
