It died last night. I ordered one online but it will not be here until the 23rd. It was in my 32 gallon biocube. Should I go and buy one at the LFS right away, or am I good to wait a couple days for the delivery?

Regular pump is working fine so I have a decent amount of flow.

I think you will be fine, you will be getting the replacement in 2 days.

It arrived today. New question is, can I run a Jebao OW power head with a Jebao RW controller?

The old power head was a RW model and I foolishly stuck it on the side of my tank with the supplied "mostly permanent" adhesive sticky pads.

I am sure I can cut it off if I need to, but if I don't have to...

Well, we got some flow now... I answered my own compatibility question because the power supplies were pretty different. I hooked up the new one and carefully cut the old one off.

It has been pretty peaceful in my little tank for the better part of 60 hours. I think I might have gone too big.

I got a Jebao OW 40. If I keep it at the lowest setting, it does not splash water out of the tank. Maybe we are just used to NOT having flow? I have it pointed mostly at the top of my scape which reduces the blast for the rest of the tank and keeps the sand from moving around. It's rated for 1,200 to 15,000 lph, so 317 gph on the low end. Is it too much???
