Hi! I am new to the hobby but I’ve have been keeping freshwater tanks for about 7 years. One question I have is that since this tank is an aio (15 gal biocube), is it even worth it to use the wave maker I’ve got in the top right corner? It runs 150 gph and I haven’t found a good position to where it doesn’t just blast everything. My gonio and lta don’t really appreciate the tidal wave haha. On that note, the built in back filter is on the top right as well, so I am unsure of how to angle everything so that the flow is adequate. It’s a lot more thinning involved than the freshwater tanks I’ve had where it’s easier to place the hang on and canister filters and whatnot. Everything gets medium to low flow from that skimmer in the middle already so I kinda don’t think it is necessary, but then again this is my first saltwater tank so better safe than sorry.

Try turning it off for a while and see if everything is happy. If so, then you don’t need it for your current stock.
