So I’m currently running a H2Pro Cy-1 in my 25 gallon cube. The pump is just way to overpowered.
My question is has anyone ever fabricated some sort of flow break to slow some of this water down?

I am on a tight budget and can’t quite afford a new pump atm.
Also a side note as well I enjoy doing this hobby with less. To show it can be done without spending thousands of dollars.

Also another side note this tank is very very young. The GHA has exploded this week. We are working on its removal now! You can see the pump in the left corner of the photo.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

TYIA!!!

So would you just hose clamp it on? Hose clamp so you can remove it?
Also like the super coarse black filter sponge would be good?

Rubber bands or cable ties. Dont use metal hose clamps in a saltwater aquarium or they will dissolve and put metals into the tank.
Finding the right foam is going to be trial and error. Try to find some 1/4 inch or less. Sometimes you buy stuff and it is part of the packing. The ones that come with pumps are very thin.
