I am having a bit of a self inflicted issue with my powehead placement. I have a 40 breeder with two large islands. I am using a jebao pp4 on the right side of the tank that runs on highest setting on constant mode and a pp8 on the left side that runs on "else" mode (random or reef crest). Placement is upper corners. I want to place more space on my left island but can't due to the direct blast from the wavemaker. Both pumps are aimed centrally and the pp8 blows directly across the top of the island in order to do so. I can't move the pp8 any higher as it creates vortices and sucks in air if I do. I can move it down further and have it blow along the back of the tank behind the rocks. I'd prefer not to move it forward in the tank, I like to keep it out of view as much as possible. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.
