Just got my 2 new wave maker, Jebeo WO 40. The fishes seem to love it. The Gorgonian just seem kind blown. I reduced the flow though to have a descent moderate flow. This works perfectly on my 75gal tank. Im setting the tank up to be a mixed reef tank.

Good at making waves but my Jebao powerheads have been less than reliable.

Yeah, what was the problem, maybe I can find a way to overcome it.

Well hopefully it isn't a problem for you. I may have just had bad luck. For me its more economical to get a more reliable pump than buying a new one every few years.

My friend's had his for more than 5yrs, and most review I saw on it was quite good, so fingers crossed I'll see how mine turns out. I might get one more later when the corals starts trooping in but that'll depend on the needs of the animals

How are they for noise? I have the Max Spect 200 series and just at 50% the humming noise drives me crazy.

I like mine. Iv'e had 2 for almost 2 years. Not a single problem.& to me not loud at all.
I bought 3 more for the back of the 180 .

They are almost totally silent, they do have this silent humming sound. With the both of mine working almost simultaneously, they kinda have this faint sound like a Christmas tree jingle coming from across the street. You can barely hear it unless u listen very closely and even when u do hear it it's more soothing than bothersome.

I'm fine with a little noise.
I'm getting ready to swap my 55gal to a 125 so I'm going to need to turn up my gyre's higher than they are now. Then they will be too loud

Currently running six of them. I have had a few over the years and they are inconsistent in the noise the produce from model to model. When they start to sound bad I let them sit in a bowl of vinegar over nite. I also prefer W 2 with the dial turned all the way on the slow speed.

Awsome, comrade

One guys experience was to not run any of them at full power. Burned through 3 that way- luckily with in Amazon’s exchange period. Now I run at 80% or less and I think they are more than worth the cost. WOs are smaller than previous models- that’s a plus for me.

Hey since yaw are talking wave makers. I was looking to upgrade mine on my 29gal that’s 36” by 12. Any ideas? I just don’t wanna put to much power on it but not to weak either where I have dead spots.

Then this would make a great choice cos even at i'ts highest, i'ts still silent.

Thanks for the tip. I clean them once a month so I haven't experienced it noisy yet. If I ever do I'll definitely try this tip.

This will be great cos u can get whatever settings u want and it works great. I have mine on sleep mode so its strong in the day and calms down at night and then stays at I
Lowest flow through the night.

Thanks I’ll check em out. You gotta a good looking tank there. Looks like it’s going to turn out good.
