Is this strong enough for a 36 gallon? I dont want to try it if it's not.

Don't know anything about that pump but I would personally avoid anything using suction cups to mount.

Sunsun are pure garbage. Go with well known power heads. Save you a lot of frustration.

they are known to put out electric current So be careful.
