Wave maker

I’m looking for a wave maker for a 36”Lx18”Wx18”H sps tank, so I need good movement. I currently have 2 MP10 but one is the old version, so it’s noisy, and The other is QD but it’s noisy too. I do love the fact that they are easy to clean but I need “Dead silent quiet” at midnight when everything is off. I want to put the tank in my bedroom so dead silent is IMPORTANT as well as easy to maintain. What are the options? Thanks

You got one? Is it dead silent especially in the middle of the night when everyone’s asleep (at that time everything seems loud)?

It’s certainly quieter than the rest of my pumps. When I turn the return off I can hardly hear it even when I put my ear right up to it. Plus you can add a battery back up in case power goes out

If your worried about sound. You could turn it way down at night when you go to sleep via mobile app.

I would run it low at night....... but I suggest looking into the MP10qd you have, and play around with it, because it shouldn’t be loud. If you can rectify that, then upgrade your non-qd to a qd unit.

Tunze pumps are quieter than VorTech. Any of them can get noisy if you get some sand in the apparatus.
