Im sure i spelt the last one wrong. Anyway i noticed petcos frag tank where i live uses wave point bulbs. Ive never heard of thrm but i guess its been around for a decade+.
Currently on my 135 72 inch long tank im using a 48 in h 4 bulb and 24 inch 4 bulb T5HO plant grow fixture.. One of those white fixtures with polished individual reflectors you can get for like 100$ on amazon.
They work really well and i hsve no complaints so far. But the 24 inch fixture the ATI bulbs are 8 months old now. The 48 inch fixture are only 1 month old. I can deff tell which side is darker and which is brighter. When comparing new bulbs to old bulbs.
Im using 2 blue+ and 2 coral+ in the fixtures. Anyway as i mentioned petco is using wave point. And without directly putting my ati and wave point side by side i cant tell which is brighter to the eye and id need a par meter and the bulbs in the same fixture to truely tell anyway. but ill be honest the wave point blue bulbs in there look nearly identical to the ATI in color and brightness to my eyes.
Price is vastly different too.. Wave point is like 10$ a bulb.. and ATI is 25-30$ a bulb depending on the length.. And ill be honest i dont wanna spend 220$ on bulbs every 7-9 months.
Ill probably get 4 new ati bulbs for my 24 inch fixture just to match the other fixtures color spectrum with its new ati bulbs.. but in the future yea..
Anyone have a link or information on par for wavepoint and ati and so forth ? Im curious to see how these bulbs stand out. And being how much dimmer my 24 inch bulbs are being 8 months old then the 30 day old ones.. I dont believe ati one bit when they claim the bulbs last 12 months not when they are pretty drasticly dimmer then the others.
See the color spectrum change ? Ignore the purple bulb i just put that one in as my coral plus broke the other day.. but look at the blue and pink there is a big diff in brightness and spectrum change.

You can change a few at a time and see how you like them over a month, or so.
