Wave Pump for 24 Gallon Reef Tank

I have a 24 gallon tank and have a SUNSUN JVP Series Submersible Circulation Powerhead Pump. I don't care for it since growing more corals and was cheap. I am looking for a pump that can be probably less powerful and maybe controlled power wise. Let me know your thoughts?

I have a Tunze 6040 (along with a pair of much larger Tunze 6105's) that I really like. Compact, aim-able, adjustable flow, from 50 to 1200 gph, a simple controller, easy method to connect a backup battery to the pump... and the price isn't stupid for a flow pump.
