Hello, I'm a beginner in reef
I have lps tank. I need advice of which wave pump I should get .. RW4 or RW8
Tank size : 2ft
Thanks for sharing [emoji5]

I have a Jebao Pp-4 and I think similar rate of Rw-4 on a 2ft and plenty of flow.
I see, the guy who selling actually suggest me to go for RW8 because I can use it in the future when I upgrade my tank, and adjust the settings for now for my 2ft tank. So now I'm confused. I should get the rw4 just for 2ft tank. Or rw8..[emoji44]

That's true but at the same time there is an "else" mode on those pumps where they ramp up at random and change settings all the time to give you a truly varied flow. You couldn't use that setting if you got the rw-8 because it would stir up your whole tank and probably put water on the floor

RW8 would work fine on your tank. You'll just need to turn it down.

I had the pp-4 which is the rw-4 with a better magnet on a 20 gallon long (30") long and it was too much.
Really... hmm
And the guy said if rw4..I should take two [emoji1] he trying to sell me something or really mean it Idk..

Well the rw-4 goes up to 1,000 gph so keep that in mind. If you had 2 you'd have 2,000 gph if they were turned way up.

Also LPS doesn't like getting totally blasted with water. Good flow is vital but too much can be a bad thing as well.

I have the PP-8, But I have a much larger tank and I wanted to be able to use it on an even larger tank If I wanted - I am just going to throttle the setting down.

I would go for the RW8 and turn it's flow down for the small extra out lay and it's a good size to start with if you upgrade the tank later on. I made the mistake of getting the RW4 for my 2foot tank and it hardly moved any water at the far end of the 2 footer now I have a 3 footer I use the RW4 on the back tank to move water from the rear of the rocks forward. The other benefit of getting the larger pump is when you don't run them at full power they tend to be quieter and last longer same applies for all pumps. I now always go for the larger pump light ect. with the view they will work on next upgrade as well. Good luck with your tank.

I have a 150G (5ft long) tank. Any idea what size pump I should get for increasing the flow at the rear of the tank?
