picked up a hydor wavepump controller. wanted to get a set of wavepumps for the 75g , what gph does everyone think i should get? 2 750 gph? smaller? i dont think bigger would be good. thanks for any input.

may have found my answer , saw somewhere the 750's are good for up to 90g tank, so i think i will go with those. still open to input. thanks again

what i have been told is you want your water to be turned over at least 8 to 10 times your water volume an hr so 2 750gph should be plenty

what type of corals are you keeping in the tank? if it's sps I would go bigger.

I ran 2 mj mods on each end of my 75 (4 pumps total) but only 2 were on at once. that's 2x 2100gph. and I had sand in the tank.

Id go with atleast 2 of the 1050's.... if it is an sps dominated tank 2 1400's.... atleast. On my 75g I ran a 1200gph closed loop, + 2 of the 1400s and a 1050.

I agree with going with at least the 1050's I am running two of those on my 72 gallon right now and feel like I could actually use a little more flow. Waiting right now on adding any more until after I start getting corals in and will go from there.

It is important to good flow in and around your rock work. I have a 1050 at back of my tank near the bottom and a 1400 at the front about mid level in my 55 gallon tank. I have about 90 pounds of rock in my tank. I also have a seio flow pump that moves about 250 gph shooting front to back to prevent my water from going in a big circle and it make the flow more random.

so i am going with the 1050's after hearing everyone's advice. i also have thought that a smaller pump near the bottom or somewhere to create a more random water flow may be a good idea. will figure that out later. thanks for all the input

put in the 1050s yesterday, they seem to be working great. if i need more flow later i think i will add a 3rd small pump somewhere later. the tank will most likely have sps corals. i have a 4 fixture 200w t5 light. thanks for all the advice, im sure i will have more questions. only 1 clown in the tank at the moment, adding fish slow, then corals later, it is a new tank and just got done with the cycle.
