It could, but I would be surprised if anyone would find that simpler than the included controller. Wave timing is very precise and requires a lot of trial and error, so a simple manual controller tends to make it easier. You need the ability to get the timing to within 100th of a second to really maximize the wave.
 
@rvitko Could you have the Wavebox controlled by the Tunze wave timer and have the Apex as power source through the EB832 to shut power on/off to the Wavebox for a feed timer? After the off time for feed interval would the Wavebox to back to it's original settings? Is there another way to have an auto-set feed interval through the Wavebox controller without actually having to manually pushing the feed mode button?
 
Basically my questions are asking: if the power to the Wavebox was removed would the programming be saved and how long of a power outage can the programming be saved?
 
It should be saved, but it is stored by a capacitor, so depending on duration it was off, it could be lost. You would just have to try it, I would assume a short pause to feed would not be an issue.
