Hello
I have AI hydras and have GHA pretty good, the tank cycled about 3 week ago and I am running the wavelengths as fallows; white, green & red way down below 20% the UV, violet, royal blue & blue above 80%. Could this combination promote this growth of GHA?
Thank you!

It's likely just an ugly phase of your tank. Keep an eye on the GHA growth and and your water parameters and adjust your CUC as needed.

Light + Nutrients + Space to grow.....

Add cleanup crew if it doesn't seem to be managed.

Now is the time you want algae to be growing – let it go. Don't do anything more than CUC about it. :)

Ok
I will continue adding critters. It’s a bit scary, it started right away with the lights I thought maybe it was the settings?
Thank you I needed the encouragement

There are very few actually scary things in the hobby....almost all the ones you imagine when you're reading and starting out are totally overblown. (These are universal...almost all of us go through a freak out phase on these things.)

Bristlworms, algae, phosphate leaching....the list is long....none are a real, actual, danger to the tank in any way. Most are actually beneficial once you understand why they are there and what's really happening. What's that? Cyano mainly thrives where there is a deficit of dissolved nitrogen?? What's that? Cyano makes it's OWN nitrogen?? It's actually beneficial and a bellwether of tank conditions??
