So for my tank I just got a regular wave maker off Amazon I got the smallest one for a cheap price but I feel like the flow is too strong it's a 5-gallon Nano Is It Anyway I can reduce the flow of the wave maker unlike the other ones it don't have the remote controller like the money ones do so I really don't have it on a lot sometimes I turned it on to blow around anyting loose in the tank like food or waste or whatever but I do want to keep it on I know the clownfish like the flow my other question is I did buy a birdsnest coral and I wonder if the Wave Maker will be too much flow if I kept it on or should I move it to the other side of the tank the wave maker that is

Impossible to answer really without knowing what pump your using. But your birds nest should be able to handle it if it is not blasting it directly.if the clowns like it, it should not be a problem as long as they have somewhere they can get out of the heavy flow if need be.

looks like it’s too big for your tank size. SPS like high random flow and They’ll die if you have them in direct high flow. I’d suggest getting a smaller pump.

We would need to know the flow rate of your pump but it does look oversized. As rule of thumb you would not want to go over 100x turnover for an SPS dominate tank. I have a mixed SPS/LPS tank and keep mine at 60x. If you want to keep softies then you would want an even lower flow.
