I have two cheap wavemakers in my tank right now but I was looking to upgrade to get rid of some dead spots, do you think one Nero 5 and working those other two wavemakers will be sufficient? I really like how to clean Nero's look.

It depends on what corals you have and how much flow you already have in your tank now.

I'm not planning on having any crazy corals, just some simple stuff, But the other wavemakers are pretty powerful already.

Any chance you know what are the gph ratings on your powerheads? By simple stuff, did you mean like softies such as toadstool, mushrooms, zoas?

One is 1350 and the other is 1150, Both Hydor's. But yes, mostly mushrooms and softies

2 mp-40S on each end and a gyre unit in the center

In that case, softies generally do not need high flow. You can use a nero 5 or a MP40.
