Hi so i got a Im 10g mixed reef tank. I have a fairly open aquascape and ive been looking for a good wavemaker to use that can be turned down really low but is also fairly strong so it can later be used again when I decide to upgrade tanks. Currently i have been using the stock pump with the tank and a hydor koralia nano powerhead(240gph) on a timer to turn on for 15min every 45min. Ever since adding this I have noticed better growth, happier corals and less detritus build up but it does feel a little strong and its not the ideal flow pattern . But like i said im looking for a new that is highly customizable, small size, and can be turned down to a low gph and lastly affordable. I have a few I have in mind and Id like to here others thoughts of them and any other good sugestions. My current picks are
Aquamai KPS
Coralbox QP-5 Plus
Tunze Nano Stream 6040 with Turbelle Controller

I would get a used MP10, I have one on my 12" cube tank, works great I can turn it down real low. You can buy an old one that is in good shape and be fine.

Im not opposed to buying a mp 10 but do you think a used mp 10 would have more bang for the buck in controllability and be able to turn down low enough for a 10g with mostly softies and lps?

Like I said I have a MP10 on a 7 gallon tank, it works great. Jebeao makes some nice pumps as well, you can check into those, they are under 75 bucks so nice and cheap. You can turn a MP10 down very low.
