Hi all,
Been using Jebao wavemakers for almost 8 months. They were pumping fine up until about 1-2 months ago. Now some of my jebaos barely cause a stir (I have 4) even after scrubbing them 2 weeks ago.

How do you guys keep them pumping at full strength? Did you ever switch to more expensive wavemakers?

I use RW/PP 8. If you clean them - do not use Vinegar - use citric acid instead. There is reports that Vinegar can penetrate some plastic material, hence create swelling because of rust in the inside . this seems be valid both for cheap and some expensive wave makers. I have notice that cleaning in a weak acid and replacing the white bearings can have them to run for a prolonged period

Sincerely Lasse

That's very good to know, I would have soaked in vinegar otherwise! Is the white bearing the propeller?

Bearing or maybe better in this case - Bushing. I mean the white stuff that is in each of the ends of the propeller axis. It is attached to the body of the pump.
