I'm looking at getting a wavemaker for my 34 gallon AIO. Currently i have a Sicce nano, hydor evo600, and a MJ400 w/jet. I use the Sicce and Hydor 24/7 then the MJ400 comes on a couple times a day to flush things out. The mount for the MJ is broke so i have it placed on the rock work,
I'm looking to replace the hydor and MJ400 with a controllable pump, but i do not have the budget for a new Vortech/Gyre. $100-130 budget
Options i have looked into so far
  • Tunze 6040
  • Another Sicce pump with an AC controller
  • Aquamedic ecodrift 4.0
  • Used old model Vortech
  • Rio Mini Polario
  • Jebao RW-4
  • Jebao cross flow
What would you do?
This is my first reef tank so i'm learning as i go, tank is 9 months old with slow progress ,LPS and softies planned.

What should i watch out for in a used MP10? Is $100-130 enough to obtain a unit that still has life in it?

Your going to want 2 for chaotic flow. For your budget you'd do best with 2 rw-4s and place them facing each other on either sides of the tank.

IF YOU HAD TO TAKE A REEFING EXAM, WOULD YOU PASS?
