I need a DC wavemaker for my Nuvo Fusion 10. Let me preface this with I can not afford an Echotech. Looking in the $100 range. Any thoughts? Skimz, IM? Thanks

My first pumps were the Innovative Marine DC pumps and they worked well. You can program them for variable speed and intensity and they were cheap.

If not an MP10, why not give the Jebao OW-10 a shot. They are good little pumps and fall well under the $100 range. clean it regularly and it will work for a good long time.

I’m using current eflux wavemaker on one of my tanks . They are small and powerful for the price .
I also have dc flow pump in which I have connected to Bluetooth so I can control them via phone ..

Ive strongly considered them, i hear they are loud though.

Mine is quieter than my MP40wQD. They can have a slight whine to them when run @ 100%, but you can eliminate this by running it at less than 70% or by getting 2 and turning them down. I think 2 is better than 1 anyway as it gives you more options for different flow patterns.

Check out the wave makers at reefbreeders.com

I have the Reef Power RP-M and the Coral Box QP-5 Plus. Have been very happy with both.

I have had an OW-10 on my 40B for almost 2 years and I have only cleaned it once. Jebao pumps have come a long way from where they started. The Crossflows, on the other hand, have some room for improvement IMO.

I really like the flat design of those! I am very limited in space with the 10gal
Yeah the Reef Power is more flat but wider, close to the size of a MP-40. The QP-5 sticks out a little further but is much smaller surface area wise.

I have Jebao SOW-15s which are probably too big for your tank but I think they are great.

I recently put a Jebao SOW-4 on my Water Box 10- cube and love it. Its DC, and fully controllable. I was blown away by the power for such a small footprint.

Used Tunze dc pumps with a multicontroller (7096). You can buy one to start and collect more for a total of 4. Might as well buy something good, quiet, and runs a long long time.

Perhaps, but I guarantee, there would be more with only 1 or 2 "wavemaker pumps", and you can actually control them, not just point them at each other to get some random flow. To each their own though. If they are working for you, then that is cool with me.
