Hey guys so this morning my gyre wavemaker gave out on me. So now I'm in the market for a new one. I don't want to deal with another gyre pump ever again those pump always gave me problems. I have a 90 gallon reef mix tank so what do you guys think I should go for?

Look at Tunze 6095 - a pair. Not cheap, but not super expensive. They are reliable and are long-lived, so think of this as a decade-type purchase. They are supposedly Apex compatible with a cable if you are into that - I would have no idea.

They don't need vinegar or acid soaked and just a toothbrush on the grates is all that the need. I only clean my Tunze pump when the grates grow closed with coralline.

Thanks I'm going to look into it.
