Hello all, been a while. I am looking to add a wavemaker to my 210 gal, 7’ long mixed reef tank. Anyone have an idea what gph flow rate I would need to make this work? I have numerous softies, a few sips ( I’d like to add more sps), 3 large tangs, emporer angel adult, blue throat trigger, pyramid butterfly, numerous small reef fish. I was thinking Jabao 3600gph with Controller would work. I currently have water movement everywhere in my tank but feel to have natural wavelike movement. I purchased this same brand wavemaker appx. 8 yrs ago but junk lasted 1 yr. I read where this co has gotten Better with products. Any thoughts?

I think they are reasonably priced at around 120.00 that would work for me

I would say two jebaos unless you find a used Nero5 or MP40 someone is trying to get rid of

Just one for a 7’ tank? Do you have others? That seems like way too little flow for me.
Wow lol I only read the 210 part ;Playful But, I would say Nero5 is really strong. I have one in a 20 gallon Waterbox Cube and I can only have It at 15% without blowing stuff around. I seen videos of it being at 100% and it can get the job done for sure until you get another pump for the opposite side.

What other pumps are you running? I have an 8' tank and run 2 MP60's and 4 MP40's. I would recommend 2 Reefwave45's at a minimum especially if you want to go the SPS route.

I have a small 8’ and run 2 Koralia pumps and 6 MP40’s

Even softies he needs way more flow than any single pump in a 7’

Main pump is coralife turbo sea with 1744 gah. Additional pump is a baldor dart hybrid for added water movement across entire tank.
