I bought a aqua top 24 gallon nano tank and it came with a hydor evo 850 it seems a little powerful ... is the power head to strong for the 24 gallon

So I just got a 24 gallon aqua top and it came with a hydor evo 850 wave maker... it’s seems to be lifting the sand a lot ... is it to powerful?? Should I downgrade a little ??
