Wavemakers that are not the MP10

As a side note, I just got my ELW-3m in today's mail. HOLY CRAP! That thing is TINY! I'm talking Hygger Mini small. I'll have to make another post with a few pictures.

For anyone looking for a tiny wavemaker with full controllability to go in a nano or pico tank, this thing is it!

Anyone out there using something that is not the MP10. Something that cost $300 and spends its whole life working until it dies and consistently needs to be cleaned just doesn't fit the budget for this project. I am curious if anyone stands behind any other flow generators? Cheaper options that work?
Im using the sicce xstream's on mine.£50ish each & no complaints.im also using the sicce voyager nano 2000 for additional more gentle flow to lps.all running through smart plugs so i can pause for feeding & dosing.really impressed with them

That's the ELW-3m next to an MLW-5 (which is the same diameter as a Nero 3). I haven't hooked it up yet, but I think it may have a few new flow modes too.

That's a nice option for my 9.7g, how much is it? Saw on Amazon from a 3rd party seller it's like $80

I have a nero 3 in a 22.4 cube and it does not create a wave. I have had a jeboe a few years back and may go back.

I ordered from AliExpress. ELW was $62-ish and the ECP was $70-ish. They took just over a month to get here.

Love my older sicce pump and their return pump. I think it’s going on 8 years now

Wow. I gotta have one now lol. That size is amazing. Might just pick up a few for some dead spots or in the sump/auto water change just to keep things moving

Also curious if anyone has come across wavemakers that can be daisy chained? I just don’t have enough plugs for all 3 tanks lol. I know the gyre 330s can have 2 t hooked up to one controller. But are there more out there?

I have a ZKSJ Slim Pro from Amazon. Bought it for about $90 and couldn't be happier. The app is somewhat trash, but it does what it's supposed to do.

I have 4 Jebao's wavemakers 2 of them are going on 6 years, money well spent and saved hundreds if not thousands by going with the Jebao's. Really all we are talking about is just a pump to move water.

If you get Hydros compatible pumps, you can drive up to 4 of them with a single WaveEngine. That can get spendy, though.

I have both the Octopulse 2 and just recently added the GHL Versia.
Both have the ability to be aimed in various directions. GHL uses a ball and socket type joint, the Octo uses a magnet mount.

that ECP-50m definitely caught my eye recently, how is it performing in your tank especially compared to the others

Actually I have it running in my mixing Brute to test for now. Flow seems good, but it's pretty noisy. Currently running a sine wave at 50% to break it in a bit.

I'm hoping it quiets down, because I can think of 100 good uses for it.
