Im currently looking to set up a nano/pico tank. I might go with a deep blue 12x12x12 7.5 gallon tank. I have the kessil a80 already but i need a powerhead. Any suggestions? I already have a 35 gallon deep blue cube and a mp10 in it. But that would be over kill. I was looking at jaboa pp4 or rw 4. Please help! :-) if i cant find a pump i gues. Ill have to go a little bigger i guess.

Pp4 or rw-4, the same exact thing other than a magnetic connection difference, will be worse than the mp10, those are very underrated pumps

I'd go with an Ecotech MP40 or a Tunze 6040. Both are reliable pumps and can be turned down to meet your needs.

RW4 on a 7.5g IMO will be too much. Maybe a Hydor 240 or powerhead Tunze 5024.

If youre interested in saving money, I use 3 hydor pumps in my 25 gallon. I love that theyre very compact and magnetic but the downside of being cheap is *supposedly* they will break easily. I have had them a little over a year and theyre all still running just fine :) I also have a maxspect 230 in my 40 and I love that too lol

Cant the jaboa pp4 be tuned down to 10 % just like a mp10? I saw on ebay the jaboa pump can be tuned down to 10% which is says is 130 gallons per hour.

Welcome to R2R! As mentioned, make sure everything looks in good working order. The MP-10 is a great pump, make sure the wires aren't pulled away from pump dry side and controller. I'd plug in to make sure the dry and set side function properly. The WQD should be very quiet. The digital refractor should read 0 with rodi water or better 1.025 with calibration fluid. I'd pull the filters from the buddie to see how they look, I don't know what the cost is to replace those.
If everything looks ok, $200 for all of it is a steal but be weary unless it's someone you totally trust;)

Lol yea iPhone auto correct strikes again. It was meant to read MP10

hate it when that happens lol, an mp10 would be perfect.

if your set a jebao, get the rw-4 bundle with the power supply and aquiline s1 wifi controller. Reason being that without the s1 controller, the rw-4 pump can only be turned down to 40%, with the s1 you can go as low as 10%. The s1 also has plenty of other benefits as well. I ordered mine today, if you want to wait i can update this thread when i get it in

This is my new 12x12x12 cube with kessil a80. Got 10 lbs of live sand and my rock will come from my 20 long and 35 cube. Im having trouble posting pics so hope this works.

This is not where its going. Ha. Just wanted to see the light on it.

My next question is what little skimmer could i use for this tank. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I just started using one of the current USA loop wave pumps, so far I like it good price and noise is comparable to my mp10 quiet drive. Check it out

I'd go with a raw-4 I have it on my IM 10 gal fusion and its on 20% with no sand agitation. Plus it's great for the price love the wave controller and the feeding option!!
