Anyone use this? I’m refusing to use GFO right now... long term goal is to get a pax bellum C36 eventually but not needed right now. This is on sale on google express with additional 20% off making it $129.99 [emoji848]

You can make your own reactor for a 3rd of the price with the same outcomes. I guarantee you will be please with the results and settle with not spending a fortune on a pax bellum.

I don’t have any old reactors laying around. Besides the leds on this one goes inside and not wrap around

I know it’s not appealing to look at. It’s is in my sump so no one sees this Frankenstein of a monster but me lol. I am pleased with my results as it grows macro algae like a beast.

Everybody and their mother seems to be coming out with one of these - three cheers for creativity! Most seem to be pax bellum ripoffs, with the LED down the middle. I made a DIY version with the lights wrapped around the outside and was unimpressed. Light tube down the middle is the way to go. Personally, I’ll take the ATS over this, but if you must grow chaeto and don’t have sump space, I’m sure it works fine.

I just stumbled on this reactor as well. I may pull the trigger. I an just about to go triton method and I don't have enough space in my sump for a fuge. Did you end up buying it? I cant find to many details or spec on it.

I’ll have to check this out. I was using Skimz MRB127 and was non-plussed with it.

If the top screws off easily-all for it.

Tunze is coming out with an algae reactor where the it spins the algae inside. I might buy here soon. It looks way easier to maintain than the others.

I just looked it up. Eh-with the see through -with the lighting I’ll run into other algae issues again.

What pump are you gonna use with the reactor? I am interested in this reactor but not sure how to connect with the metric inlet?

Don't buy it. Its junk. The LEd cluster shorted out. I am lucky it didn't destroy my reef tank. And Big Al's wont warranty it 3 moths later. #screwed

my concern would be that the leds cant' really dissipate the heat in that tube without a heat sink. the leds may not last long. My old converted AM reactor was wrapped on the outside and even then, the diodes and acrylic started browning from heat.

I know this is somewhat old, but... anybody else ever tried this thing? I just bought one the other day and it leaks terribly. Came with no instructions, so I really don't even know if I have the o-rings in the right spots, which is probably causing it. Can someone with one of these take a picture of the o-ring placement on the light chamber opening on the top? That's where I keep getting leaking from.

It’s a piece of . Mine is leaking everywhere. Good thing I bought it via Google checkout and Google refunded me full amount.
