Is the WD harsy enough for a Bayer dip? Or just use iodine

I dipped OP in Bayer and it was fine. No coral is getting in my tank without a dip.

I dipped mine 6 times over a 5 week quarantine period with Bayer without problem. Just lost some color.

Every coral that I have ever had was safe to dip in Bayer. WD, and another Tenius, can also be dipped in CoralRx with no issues if it is otherwise healthy. You do not need to do both. Some of the harder acropora like Millepora and most of the smooth skinned deep-waters will not do well in CoralRx or Revive unless they are SUPER healthy and Bayer is a better choice for them.

My only suggestion with Bayer is to heat up the stuff to tank temperature. It takes a good piece to get to the correct concentration and the temp from the tank water will drop. I try and keep the stuff warm while I am dipping - heater and powerhead if it is a larger dip, or "tie off a baggie and float it" if it is a smaller dip.

I have never had a loss due to Bayer dipping in any SPS and I have gotten quite liberal with the Bayer before.

Is the Bayer add till the water gets milky? Or what is the amount per gallon of water?

The exact amount is between 5mL-15mL/ 4oz of tank water.
Most pests can actually be killed by a dosage as little as 1mL of beyer per 4oz of tank water, although I prefer upping the dosage a bit. Most people I’ve seen dip their acros in a concentration that far exceeds 15mL/ 4oz.

I revive dipped mine without issues, not to mention that it came to me completely bleached out also. I believe revive is harsher than bayer so I think it will be just fine!

I don't dip in iodine unless there is a bacterial infection and I make it very quick, it's to harsh to use for pests.

I just got a bunch of coral frags and mini colonies at a swap. I have dipped in coral rx. It is one week later I would like to dip in bayer next. Currently corals are in quarantine, how long before they go in the tank? They all look great, and are doing well. Two are Aqua cultured colonies, ones a millapora. The rest are acro frags.
