Haven’t seen many that color. Mine is more yellow with blue tips.

Are you using a lens filter? Can we see your Lightroom settings? Having a hard time understanding how the substrate in the pics is more gray than blue. Is there a chance it looks more like this in person:

i don't use any lens filter .... the picture is straight out from my camera... no post-processing (don't have the time for it) .... i'm using canon 70d and tamron sp90 macro lens....the key is to use "custom white-balance" setting..

yea but the custom white balance (especially on a canon) does this. It overcompensates and what is blue in real life becomes gray which wayyy exaggerated oranges.

Well... I think you have done an awesome job growing this baby!
Whether the colors are exact to life doesn't take away the fact that you obviously have a beautiful coral.
I understand the questions on color rendition, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying your progression.

also, does anybody notice that when you upload photos on here... the photos got scaled down a bit..... b/c the originals look more blue than those uploaded.

Gorgeous. All these beautiful pictures make me thrilled and hopeful that mine looks this good someday!
