WD

He’s gonna love the radions. Its a really nice LED. Is he running only 2 bulbs for the lowlight? I usually only see them on SPS systems.

4 bulb on the t5s. He’s added some hydra26hd to a few of these though. He’s got the hydra52hd on his deep tanks. We’ll see on the Radions. They use the same diodes at the hydras.

Black Box LEDs will grow Coral just fine and are cheap as long as they have the correct diodes in them no changing of bulbs after 6 months no heat. LEDs have come a long way you don't have to spend a lot if you don't want to. Just my two cents

Exactly. Cree whites and blues get used in all of these fixtures. These are the diodes doing the heavy lifting.

My crappy diy led light used cree diodes and grew everything just as well as my old t5, but had better color, hands down.

Diodes? You lost me

Yess me too! Arrives sunday. Where did you get yours from?

My second hydra26hd is coming from a cool cat here on the forum :-)

To get this back on track, OP - What spectrum have you been running for your WD? What do you plan to use for your Radion?

i downloaded SPS AB+ with some
minor tweaks to the spectrums. it is getting about 325 in par

Instead of fighting which is better just go with the best of both color power and coverage all in 1 by the way awesome wd I'm not ready for sps but it's on my short list for when I do try again

That's because they're not up to task, unless you run lot of fixtures and end up spending thousands of dollars. Believe me, the economics of led's doesn't currently add up for reef tanks. Until all manufacturers like Orphek design panel leds that mimic T5's and MH, MH and T5 will continue to reign supreme.

Nice walt disney op, mine is a slow grower.
Hi,
This is my tank. I have acros growing on the sand bed. Most of the corals have all be grown from 1" or 2" frags and I've have had to frag numerous times to keep them in check. They have only ever seen LED's.

I use 3 x hydra 52 (non HD) so I think the growth and colour these produce are well up to task.

My man! I’d like to go rub the led haters noses in this tank. What’s the size of your tank? How about flow?
