Hey everyone so after having these guys for 4 years now they have FINALLY begun to lay some eggs! No plans yet as far as rearing any of the young as med school leaves me zero time for setting up any new tanks or photo cultures but I am excited none the less. I have yet to witness this unique behavior with clowns and thought everyone would appreciate a short video of what i caught today. Pretty cool view from my desk where I unfortunately spend most of the day, but the tank view makes it much more enjoyable ... and now the happy couple :)

quick question also.... anyone have recommendations as far as what to do upon hatching? This is in my 27 gal cube (mixed reef) with some nice brains, scolymia, RBTA, and a few sps and zoas. Will the hatch cause a huge nutrient shift and adversely affect water quality? I have had a reef tank set up since I was 12, and have never dealt with this so currently in uncharted waters :) Thanks

haha i hear ya.... I figured mine were just never going to lay and then i look up from my desk and boom ! Hopefully i will be able to try my hand at raising a batch this next summer when things slow down a tad for me.

That is awesome I had my last set laying eggs and I always took them out and put in a QT with an air stone and a heater that was it. Only had 3 survive.
