You ever notice, you just never totally happy with the location of particular rocks, or you wish you had done this or that... lol

I have really come back to becoming a perfectionist with the tank. Trying to get everything to work in harmony together. Is it because of the cold, wet weather? Is it just the time of year?

Questions I believe none of us can answer.

I am envisioning the growth patterns of new frags. Making sure the current is right, making sure frag placement is just right. I am losing it!!! lol

Make me feel better, tell me I am ok

Yep, I've been going through the same thing lately. It goes through cycles with me. For a few months I won't do anything to the tank and then all of a sudden I worry about the smallest things.

It definitely goes in phases. I've completely revamped my tank. New lights, pumps, corals, fish. Lol. And now I'm ready to just enjoy it. Give me a week. That will change.

I think that is the love of the hobby. We're all perfectionists.

I think it's being cooped up with the bad weather. Heck I'm even thinking about getting a tank again, when will I ever learn :)

Aha! I was looking at old threads on reef central the other day and saw you were online. You know you can't stay away. If you do get another tank I can get you some frags. Most of what I have now came from you I think. I lost some of them due to neglect mostly but the ones I still have are doing good.

Sounds normal to me. So long as maintenance is kept up all should be good. Sometimes not changing things allows us to see the growth and benefit of our efforts. Freshening things up and "winter cleaning" is fun too. I have started 2 new tanks the same time each year looking back. Everyone has something. Puzzles, crochet, skiing, or reefing. Fun stuff! Not sure why it cycles seasonally but I have my new 90 up and running! ;)

Thanks Mike! Thinking about setting up a 30 or 40 cube to tide me over…we shall see.
