We need a decent Hose to Bucket Clip! I have one of the Blue Plastic ones, that’s for Home Brewing. It’s not big enough for our Syphon Hoses, to get it to work even marginally, you have to wire tie the clamp to the hose. if you forget to lock the Bucket Clip under the metal handle, it will pop off, flooding. I had a heavy duty one, that finally broke. Apparently it’s no longer made. Some has got to come up with one and mass produce. Come on manufactures, it shouldn’t be that hard.

I use to use towel clips for your beach chair....they looked similar to these:

But after one rusted out (the spring portion is metal), and I had them un-clip two times, I went with a fishing weight tied to the end of the hose. The weight holds the hose at the bottom of the bucket.:

I have two or three different bucket clips and none of them work on every type of bucket I have. At some point I'm going to have to 3D print bucket-specific clips.

I don’t think Lee makes that Hose Clip anymore. It’s not included in their retail gravel cleaning kit. Also I had a set of the clip, I bought from a Pet Shop that was closing. First one broke the first time I used it, the second broke several weeks later. I’m trying to use something on 1/2” ID X 5/8” OD Hose. I took a Ratchet Clamp, and placed a Velcro Strap on it, but the hose can still slip out of the Strap. BTW, The nice one I had, I thought it came with a Acid Cleaning Kit, for cleaning water cooled AC Condensors. I can‘t find that one in HVAC supply houses.

I would prefer a sock holder with integrated hose clip that fit on a bucket. Then I could do extra maintenance to remove detritus, algae, etc. and pour the water back. Just can't get enough out in a normal water change...

@FishOfHex has options on his site

I imagine you can even have a nylon screw added to hold the hose if you're worried about it coming loose.

That's awesome, thanks!

my top fin gravel vac from petsmart came with a decent bucket clip but its probably not available separately

A Sock Holder for a Round Bucket would be awesome, also this got me thinking, I’ve got Square Buckets that Cat Food and Cat Litter came in. I’m often doing that and pumping the water, back into the Aquarium with a Danner #2 pump, which closely matches the Syphoning rate.

It would be very easy to make a clip with or without sock holder by bending a wire coat hanger to the desired shape. If you're worried about the metal then simply coat it in Plasti Dip.

You can still buy the Lee's hose clips. Several vendors have them available online right now.
