Ill try to summarize quickly. I have a 150g tank now with a pair of swallowtails, pair of clowns, couple of gobies, royal gramma, and a mandarin. They all went through TTM and 4 weeks of observation. They have been in the tank for ~2 months.
Anyway, I purchased a 225 system a couple of weeks ago with 6 tangs (purple, scopas, sailfin, lemon mimic, atlantic blue, and powder brown). He's had the fish for 2 years and had an ich outbreak a year ago. He treated the tangs with copper and left the tank fallow for 70+days.
Well, I picked up the tangs last week. I told myself to put them in a 35g QT for a couple of weeks just to make sure all is well, but was afraid that the QT was too small. Unfortunately, I didnt listen to myself. I decided to add them to my existing tank.
Of course, I woke up this morning with white spots on the purple, scopas, and sailfin.
I have a 35g, 20g, and a 10g available for hospital tanks. Im thinking of the following for treatments:
- 4-5 tangs in the 35g with CP or copper or hypo
- 1-2 tangs + clowns + gobies + royal gramma in the 20g with CP or copper or hypo
- 2 angels in the 10g.
Im not sure I can pull of TTM with this many fish. I figure I would need at least 2 50-75 gallon tanks to pull it off.
Recipe for disaster?
