I have a Red Sea Reefwave. I've been getting some cyano on the sand and I've read that it could be due to low flow along the sand bed. I tried moving my Reefwave down but it seems to cause too much flow to my established corals.

I was thinking about getting a small powerhead to place just above the sand bed but I don't want/need it be be really powerful.

Anyone have recommendations of a small/weak powerhead that would fit the desired application? Or am I just silly to trying to do something like this?

Look up Hygger Mini wave maker,
It's not top of the line... but its programmable and I think it's low flow is pretty decent... not super large either....
Only one direction though...

There are tons of options. Cheap $10 powerheads on amazon like

I did something similar with a pair of Sicce Voyager Nanos hooked up to a wave surfer. They didn't seem to help much and I'm considering taking them out.

I like that it's programmable. Thanks!

Only issue you will have with the hygger mini is. The flow comes out in a wide cone. Its not easy to aim at something
^This, be aware of it.

Thanks. I'll have to look to see if I can find somewhere that shows me the size of the cone. But this at least gives me an idea to look for a programmable small power head and that they are out there.

I bought a very small one at Petco, for my 40 G, just to add a little flow in a corner without blowing sand all over. Unfortunately do not remember the brand. It was the smallest I could get.

I'll look at the website :) Thanks!
