Weak results from CO2 scrubber

So I added a Co2 scrubber last Friday to get my PH up and here are the results. Is this really all i should expect from the scrubber? I was expecting a much larger boost. I'm running the BRS reactor with BRS media.

I tried one about a year ago. The trick is finding a way to push air through it to your skimmer air intake.

That’s about all I get, maybe around .05 increase. Open windows does way more but it’s 90+ already, not an option. Tried running skimmer line outside. Not much increase either. If you have a lot of turbulent water movement it’s going to grab the CO2 in the home air.

How are you keeping the media humid? If running completely dry that could be part of your issue (you will also deplete the media much faster). I am running 2 scrubbers on mine and get a pretty good increase.

I'd also say give it a few days to see where you are then. It increases but it doesn't happen instantly.

I have ton of surface movement so this is probably a big contributor / reason why the scrubber isn't helping more.

I put a table spoon of water in the bottom of the reactor but was also thinking about running the intake to the skimmer cup which I've seen some people doing. Does running the intake to the skimmer cup just increase the media life or help with PH levels as well?

I run my BRS reactor from the skimmer cup. The moisture from my skimmer cup keeps the media good for 3weeks and my ph stays above 8.2. I always had low ph of 7.9. When my ph drops to 8.05, time to change the media.
