Hello,

Over the past few weeks I am starting to get this "web" like film forming on some of the corals. It seems to be getting worse and worst each day.

I have an algae scrubber that has been on the tank for about a month now. I removed my skimmer in place of the scrubber. Other then that I started dosing Vibrant to get rid of bubble algae and cyano. I have been doing that weekly at a rate of 1ml per 10 gallons so about 5 ml on my 65g. Any advice on how to get rid of this stuff or should it just go away after the algae die off? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Have you seen any vermatid snails?

I have and have gotten rid of them like the plaque. When I see them I have super glued their sorry butt. This doesn't appear to be snails as the weblike junk is gathering on the walls and over and on top of corals. I am VERY familiar with the V snails and I have got rid of any I have seen. Usually I can tell where they are from where the web starts. These seem a little more like "new tank syndrome" bacteria. Lots of Cyano also popping up.

That is my thought. Any advice on getting rid of it along with the Cyano. I have been dosing Vibrant as I was told this should do the trick. I am not sure how long it takes to work. I have been dosing it Bi-Weekly. Also not sure if it is having some issues with my Algae Scrubber. I was thinking it might have something to do with the reef energy as well. According to red sea manual - "Typical signs of overdosing are the development of a grey/brown bio-film on the live rocks and outbreaks of algae." So I might be overdosing that. I am only dosing 6ML per day. My tank is about a 65ga. It says to dose 2ML per 25Ga. Guess I could start to go less on that as well.
