Noticed i have a few weeds growing with my new corals i bought about 1 and a half month ago and notice the sand bed is starting to grow algae, covering it... Any ideas will surely help. Thanks

Pics would help ID the algae
Usually excess nutrients is the issue. Checking Nitrates and keeping Phosphates under .05 will help.

You may need to peroxide dip that plug. Read up on it as I have only read a few things where people are having good luck with it. +1 on check no3 and po4. Vodka or cider dosing may help you.

Yea, you might want to dip that plug, especially if you got thw HA with the coral, bad trade off.
The Vodka and or Vinegar dosing is to rid the tank of Nitrates and some Phosphates.

What's your phosphate levels at...and where is your water source coming from?

Cyno..purplish algae on sand bed ?.. more water flow to help move sand around a bit would help to.

All of the above. Also, some water changes (with RO/DI water, not tap water) and some blue legged hermits should clear everything up fairly quickly.
