Weeding the palys

So, I have what I consider to be a small colony of palys, that i am rather fond of. They are my first colony that started out off as a few polyps.
I've noticed that some less desirable palys (of the brown color) have jumped over to my favorite colony, and are starting to push them aside.
Whats are some options for removing the brown palys with out hurting the green ones?
Do I need to put the gloves and goggles on, and get the exato-knife out?:usa2:

You could just inject them with Joes juice. I have done that before with no issues to the ones I wanted to save.......

Yup. Don't do too many at once, but that'll get em.
